Opportunities for cooperation on international basis are not missing. This time it was a conference ” Networked with the same goal ” held on 21 April in Sombor (Serbia). The authorities of the city of Sombor (vice president of the city of Sombor Vladislav Živanović and his colleagues) hosted in the City Hall of Sombor guests from a variety of public services and associations. In addition to the ”Stijena”, which is also a co-organizer of the conference, it was attended by members of the Restart association from Serbia (Novi Sad) and ”Ne-ovisnost” from Croatia (Osijek), as well as representatives of some religious communities in Serbia. In addition to non-governmental organizations, staff from the fields of health, social welfare, education, political life were also present, and the event was followed by the media. We had the opportunity to present examples of good practices from Croatia- Project of resocialisation of Croatian Government, cooperation between governmental and non-governmental sector and the work of ”Stijena”. We presented the movie ” The road to a new life ”. Colleagues and friends from Restart also presented their work and cooperation with medical institutions, and experts from Methadone center Sombor presented scientific side of the problem of addiction. After presentations some of the participants briefly presented their work and ways to improve cross-sector and cross- border cooperation on the ground. We hope to have the opportunity soon to see practical effect of this conference in the form of specific activities in Sombor and surrounding area, which has also been discussed these days in this beautiful and hospitable city.
