On Friday, 9th December 2016, in Westin hotel, there was a symposium ”New and old addictions from perspective of health institutions in the city of Zagreb”. Participants were mostly medical experts, but there were also experts of other profiles connected to addiction issue, and also members of NGO-s. There was a discussion about different types of addictions (drugs, alcohol, gambling, internet, …), different information was shown and different attitudes were told. We are glad that we could be part of this kind of symposium again, and that we had an opportunity to give our oppinion about man in addiction problem, that he is not a number or some kind of  ”write-off stuff”, but a living creature for whom there is always a hope, that addiction is not uncurable disease or unsolvable problem, which a lot of us can testify for and be living example of that. Also, we are glad that we met again some dear people from different institutions and organizations and that we had a pleasant time of fellowship together.
