UNGASS 2016 (April 19 to 21) as the most important event of the year (or longer) at the level of policy issues related to drug abuse has brought some new changes in the way of looking at specific problems and solutions. What is of great importance to us as an association is that the concept of recovery gets more theoretical and practical importance. In relation to that, some side-events were held by promoters of recovery from different organizations and with different perspectives. Among other speakers, Zoran Jelić, president of ”Stijena”, spoke on the subject, and it was a great opportunity to take a position as an association in relation to the great world of politics. Unfortunately, the voice of the recovery is still not loud, but it is heard. We are proud that in the wake of this idea, which is very important and applicable in practice, we work among those who have an impact at the highest level. We believe that this work will bring even more fruit, and that the life stories of people with changed lives will occupy more media, scientific and political space, with the aim of raising awareness of the general public, but also the injection of something new and healthy in life of those in despair of addiction- hope, faith, joy, the reality of a new life.
